Weather/Best time to Visit

In summers the temperature is around 45c and in winters the weather is drop down to 4C but it is a good to visit in both the seasons if you want to see heavy snowfall you should have to visit in winters i.e. in the month of December to March

How to Reach?

By Car

The distance to Srinagar from Jammu is about 293 km which is nearly a 7 hour drive. So, if you want to go Srinagar by car you can hire a taxi from jammu. Srinagar to leh is 414 km & takes about 8 hours by car. Gulmarg is only 49 km from srinagar & takes only 1 hour 20 minutes.

By Train

The Jammu Tawi Railway Station is 293 kms away from Srinagar and is also well connected to other cities in India including Delhi, Chennai, Trivandrum, Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru. After reaching the station you can hire a pre-paid taxi from jammu to srinagar and  reach up to the city safely.

By Air

The Srinagar airport is 14 kms from the city. There are some direct flights to Srinagar from Delhi like Jet Airways, Air Deccan, Spice Jet, Kingfisher Airlines, Go Air, Jet Lite and Indian Airlines etc. After reaching the airport you can hire a pre-paid taxi from srinagar airport to srinagar to reach up to the city safely and comfortably.
