Poanta Sahib is a small town in the state of Himachal Pradesh, located on the bank of Yamuna River. This is the holy places of Sikhs and made in the memory of Sikhs 10th guru “Guru Gobind Singh Ji”. Dasam Granth was also written here by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. At Poanta Sahib there was a museum where all the personal accessories of the Guru Gobind Singh Ji have been displayed and the visitors used to visit this museum after visiting Gurudwara. The small cave with this splendid scenery is said to be once resided by Dronacharya- the teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas in Hindu holy epic Mahabharata written by Ved Vyas. By Car

As the distance between New Delhi to Dehradun is around 250 km by Road which is approximately less than 4-6 hour drive, so a taxi from delhi to dehradun can be hired.

By Train

There are many train connections like superfast luxury Shatabdi Express, Mussoorie Express, Doon Express etc are the major trains and are well connected to major cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Mumbai and Calcutta. By Air
