The Chamundeshwari Temple is located on the top of Chamundi Hills in Mysore in the state of Karnataka. The temple was named after Chamundeshwari or Durga. At the entrance of the temple there was a small image of Lord Ganesha on the door. The door is silver-plated and has an image of the different goddess. On the right there is a small statue of Lord Ganesha, after a few steps, there is a footprints of the Goddess and a small statue of Nandi. It is one of the most famous pilgrimage spot in Mysore.

Jaganmohan Palace is a palace in Mysore. It is now converted into an art gallery and a function hall. The art gallery contains the largest collections of artifacts with different style of paintings of Raja Ravi Varma. It also includes unique collection of weapons of war, musical instruments, sculptures, brass-ware, antiques coins, currencies and a French clock. It is one of the most famous tourist places in Mysore.

By Car

By Train

Mysore is well connected by direct trains to major Indian cities like Delhi, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Calcutta and many more other cities. The most convenient train from Delhi is the Mysuru Swaran Jayanthi Express. After reaching the railway station you can also hire pre-paid taxi to reach up to the city.

By Air

There is not airport at Mysore. The nearest airport there is at Bangalore which is about 130 km away from the city, after reaching there you can hire a pre-paid taxi from bangalore airport to mysore to reach up the city safely and comfortably.
