  • Tiger Hill


Tiger Hill is situated at a distance of about 11kms form Darjeeling. The sunrise at the Tiger Hill shows a mesmerizing effect on the snow covered peaks of mountains. As the first rays of the sun hits the snow covered peaks of Tiger Hill, one can see the white colour of the snow changing to red colour and then as the sun comes up the colour again changes from pale orange to gold and finally returning to its original white colour. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions.

  • Darjeeling Himalayan Railway


The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, is also known as the “Toy Train” that runs between Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. Your trip to Darjeeling is incomplete if you didn’t take a ride in the popular Toy Train. The journey in Toy Train is considered as most romantic and the spectacular view of the peaks is breathtaking. The Toy Train or Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the most outstanding example of a passenger railway for traveling in mountains. From the railway station of Jalpaiguri you can also hire a toy train instead of taxi to reach up to the city. If you are visiting Darjeeling than don’t forget to take the ride of the Toy Train.

  • Bhutia Monastery

The Bhutia Monastery in Darjeeling presents the awesome of the monastery built in a traditional Tibetan style with Sikkimese. While entering in the Monastery’s there is a main prayer room, at there a model of Buddha is in a glass case. Outside the prayer room in the front veranda, there is a large drum on which prayers is written. It is one of the famous tourist spot in Darjeeling.

  • Batasia Loop


The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway created in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling. It is one of the places in Darjeeling while taking a toy train ride from Darjeeling, you will pass through Batasia Loop. At the Batasia Loop you can see the whole view of hill town and the snow covered peaks, and all this can be viewed from the middle of a lovely flowering garden at Batasia Loop around which the toy train track is laid. It is one of the famous tourist spot in Darjeeling.

  • Padmaja Naidu Zoo


Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is in the town of Darjeeling. The zoo includes display breeding center for snow leopards and red pandas. Darjeeling Zoo is the best zoos in the world as this is the first zoo in India to receive the prestigious international award “The Earth Heroes”. In the zoo there are different types of Himalayan animals, birds, species etc. it is one of the famous tourist spot I Darjeeling every year thousands of visitors come here from in and around the world to visit this famous Darjeeling Zoo.

  • Peace Pagoda

The Peace Pagoda in Darjeeling was built by a Buddhist monk from Japan. It symbolizes spirituality and peace, with four statues of Buddha with gold polish, and eight sandstone carvings that show the various stages of the life of the Buddha’s. Nearby Peace Pagoda there is a Buddhist temple and monastery was located which is designed in the Japanese style. At there the monks were chanting the mystic peace mantra ‘myoho renge kyo’. If you are visiting Darjeeling than don’t forget to visit Peace Pagoda.

Weather/Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit this hill station is in between April to June at this time the temperature is 14° C to 8°C and at the month from September to December the temperatures fall to a freezing point i.e.  6°C to 1°C.

How to Reach?

By Car

The easiest and the most convenient way of getting around in Darjeeling is by a private taxi. A lot of tourists prefer a taxi to darjeeling from new jalpaiguri or taxi from bagdogra to darjeeling; it is advisable to hire a taxi in case you are not comfortable with driving in mountains.

By Train

There is no direct train from Delhi to Darjeeling. So you can take the train from Delhi to Jalpaiguri and from there you can take a toy train to Darjeeling or you can also hire a pre-paid taxi to reach up to the city safely and comfortably.

By Air

The nearest airport is at Bagdogra, which is located approximately 96 km away from Darjeeling. At the airport, you can take a pre-paid taxi to Darjeeling to reach up to the city.
