Shimla is near about 372 km from Delhi. It is well-connected to Delhi by roadways and the best way to travel from Delhi to Shimla is by car. The journey by car is around 6 hours. There are plenty of restaurants and Dhabas on the roadside which makes the traveling full of joy. So, traveling to Shimla by car or taxi is also one of the best ways to reach Shimla.
There is a direct express train from Delhi to Shimla that takes about 7 hours. Shimla is connected to Delhi by a broad gauge up to Kalka, and from their it is a mini train which takes up to Shimla in approximately 5.5 hours.
There are regular flights from Delhi to Shimla, and from the airport there are some pre paid taxis are available so that the travelers can reached to the city easily without any inconvenience.
