Chini Ka Rauza was built in the period of Shah Jahan, in the memory of the great poet Allama Afzal Khan. It is located very close to Taj Mahal. It is an important monument in Agra. This name has been acquired because of the glazed-tile work that has believed to have been brought from China.

  • Fatehpur Sikri


Fatehpur Sikri is one of the architectural legacies of Emperor Akbar. It consists of beautiful palaces, halls, and mosques. Some of the major monuments in Fatehpur Sikri are:

  1. Buland Darwaza: It is one of the best monuments in the place. This grand gateway has a height of 54 meters and is a largest gateway in the world. It was made to celebrate Emperor Akbar’s success in conquering Gujarat and is a fine blend of Persian and Mughal architecture.
  2. Diwan-I-Khas- Hall: The Diwan-I-Khas is the royal chamber of Emperor Akbar. It is designed according to the Persian style and is decorated with fine sculpture and precious stones.
  3. Panch Mahal: The Panch Mahal is the most fascinating building in Fatehpur Sikri. It is a five storey building which was meant to be the shelter of the royal ladies. The tomb is well known for its delicate carvings for pilgrims. There are no flights between New Delhi to Agra but there are few direct trains from New Delhi to Agra. These trains are Taj Express, Bhopal Express, Tamil Nadu Exp, Rajdhani exp.etc. The minimum time a train takes to reach Agra from New Delhi is 2h 06m.
